one pass of the ground loop on one question: search every archive, acquire, extract, verify every quote against the bytes, index, reflect. Every third cycle the pattern loop runs free.
one ResearchSpace: a seed question, its record, its team. Cheap to have, spent by running — which is why cycles are what's metered.
Running the loop itself — the director, extractor, skeptic and judge — is included on every paid plan. Search and archive connectors run on the platform's keys unless you bring your own.
Questions people ask.
What happens when I hit a limit?
Nothing is lost. Uploads queue until the period rolls over, and running investigations pause at the end of their current cycle. You can move up a tier at any time and the queue drains immediately.
Can I bring my own keys?
Yes — a BraveSearch key and a National Archives key in Settings route those calls to your own accounts. On Max, your own search key lifts the cycle cap: the searches are yours, so the ceiling is too.
Do unused pages roll over?
No. Pages and cycles are a monthly allowance, reset on your billing date. Investigations, sources, claims and notes are yours for as long as the account exists.
How do teams work?
Every plan's collaborators are per investigation — invite someone by email and they work the same record, live. Seats aren't sold separately; the owner's plan sets how many can join each space.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Settings → manage billing. The plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then drops to Reader — your investigations stay readable and exportable.
